Hi friends,
I’ve been very busy with my social media recently for my foot care business, mainly because, as some of you know, I’m exploring being a social media manager for other Foot health practitioners.
For the past 2 weeks I’ve been managing a foot health practitioners Facebook page which I’ve been really enjoying. We've started from scratch and the engagement from their followers have been amazing. One thing I’ve realised is that it’s also helping me become more active on my page as I now have no excuse. So now when I create Facebook posts for my FHP client, I allow extra time to create content for myself and it's become a routine which I needed.
Now I’ve written about it before and I’ll write about it again, for you and a reminder to myself: Continuing to be present on social media whether your books are opened or closed, helps people to:
know you’re still in business (operating)
Keeps you fully booked
Know, like and trust you
Keep engaged with you
Stay updated about your business
Keep educated in personal foot care
Personally, I’ve recently decided to stick to one platform to put all of my attention and energy into until I feel ready to branch out and explore other platforms for my business again. I really had to think where my clients are hanging out and where they are more likely to see my posts. Now I do sometimes post on my business Instagram the posts from my Facebook, but I think i’ll be stopping that for a while until I get into a routine with my Facebook. We’ll see.
I do also know that Instagram can be set up to automatically post to your Facebook page, but I believe different platforms require different strategies. Whilst Instagram pictures are OK, I’ve found video/reels get better engagement on that platform, and with Facebook, posts/pictures get better engagement than video. But this is just my thinking!
Anyway, me and the FHP had an ‘on-boarding’ consultation via zoom which was nice because I finally got to meet the face behind the name and person who has been supporting my journey for a while. We discussed branding, frequency and about them and their business and have been keeping in touch regularly. I think I’m liking this social manager path.
🤔 What platform do you find you get the most engagement from potential/current clients (not including other professionals)?
Right guys, I hope you all have a lovely Christmas break and I’ll see you next week.

Have a lovely holiday period Jess and a very happy and healthy new year to you and your family.xx
